The discovery of the site would not have occurred without a simple observation. Whilst looking at a map of Egypt I saw a similarity between the shape of the Nile and the Well Shaft of the Great Pyramid. It is difficult to believe that this is anything more than just luck. once you place an overlay of the internal structure of Pyramid of Cheops on a map at a scale of 1:4800 you will see it is not. At this scale the insignificant Well Shaft becomes the focal point. With the apex of the pyramid pointing directly east, the Well shaft fits over the Nile and a water-course known as wadi Hammama. The wadi runs East from the Nile at a place called Qift. A modern road follows the watercourse and adjacent to this road are temples the sign of an older route.
It is worth remembering the quote from Kore Kosmu that a person would not see the answer if he treads the land. It is only when you view the Nile and its flood plains from above do you see how it follows the shape of the Well Shaft.
The shafts from the Kings Chamber exit the pyramid at the same height. It has been previously recognised that a line drawn between these exit holes could form a top of an imaginary square (outlined in red in the image below). By extending the 45 degree shaft of the Kings Chamber, and the shafts of the Queens chamber downwards, they intersect at the bottom corners of this imaginary square:

A Professor Stuchini calculated that the circumference of the base of the pyramid and its height could represent the equatorial circumference and polar radius of the Earth at a scale of 1:43200 respectively. The ratio between these two scales 4,800/43200 = 0.111111. With a change in the decimal place Messrs Hancock and Bauval have used the multiplication factor in the Keepers of Genises for a calculation relating to precession: 72 years x 111.111 = 7999.99
8000 years is the approximate difference in the number of years between the star pattern represented on the ground by the three pyramids, and the time when the star Al-Nitak in Orion is aligned with the Southern shaft of the Kings Chamber. The purpose of 111111 may have been given by a symbol from the Heliopitean Ennead known as the sacred triangle. Is this a representation of scale, drawn as a pyramid?

With the overlay in place I found the following:

On first inspection the text is very confusing. This is because a great deal of the text is devoted to various descriptions of astronomy bodies and their positions to each other and the observer. Each combination has its own title and these can be seen for what they are when the astronomy is understood.
A brief solution from the text is as follows. A sequence of astronomy events viewed from the Great Pyramid provides a bearing of 123 to a mountain at the site shaped like a set of buttocks. As you approach this location major geographical features are identified and further measurements and bearings are given to the ‘buttocks’. From this mountain angular measurements are taken from it peaks giving a starting point on the valley floor, a set distance from the mound. A combination of astronomy and the angular positions of animal like shapes in the surrounding mountain ridges provide further means of locating the mound. once on the mound the entrance to the cavern can be found from, the position of the sun calculated from astronomy, and also directly from the text. The text also provides a cross bearing from Abydos to the site.
